A private Mediterranean experience in Herzegovina

A private villa set into the karst hills. Five bedrooms, two private sports courts, a stone konoba below — and the rhythm only the inland Mediterranean knows.

The Villa

A private villa set into the karst hills of western Herzegovina. Five bedrooms, an infinity pool, a private padel court and a private tennis court, a stone konoba below — a house built for staying still.

The house leans into the slope — you sit down in the konoba for dinner, take breakfast above in the sun, sleep somewhere in between. The sauna and jacuzzi are at the top, where the roof becomes a terrace.

Shaped around a feeling of permanence — in stillness, in the rhythm of space, in the memories that remain.

    Kitchen & dining

Where the days begin. Coffee at the counter, breakfast for ten along the long table, the kitchen sounds carrying through the open room.

  • Living room

    Living room

The room you return to. Deep sofas, tall ceilings, and a screen large enough that an after-dinner film feels like one. Glass doors fold open to the summer terrace.

  • Master suites

    Master suites

Two rooms for whoever wakes furthest into the morning. Doors that close. A bathroom you can hear from the bed. The kind of room guests negotiate over politely on arrival.

  • Further bedrooms

    Further bedrooms

Three more rooms gathered around a shared terrace where the morning light lingers longest. For the children, the cousins, the friends who arrive late.

  • Bathrooms

    Bathrooms

Natural pale stone, matte tones, broad natural light. Two en-suites with the master suites, one shared for the upstairs bedrooms, two more for everyday use and the konoba.

  • Gaming & office

    Gaming & office

A room that adapts to the rhythm of the day — a desk for the morning, a PlayStation and a big screen for the evening, an exercise bike and free weights for the hours between.

Konoba

The konoba (our cellar) runs on its own clock. It doesn't open before sundown.

Sound system, turntable, wine room, and a selection of Cuban cigars — everything for a long dinner and what happens after the night settles in.

Pool & wellness

Days spent outside: a heated infinity pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, a summer kitchen with grill. The wellness loft waits at the top — sauna, a second jacuzzi, a roof that becomes a terrace with a view.

Sport

Two courts, both private. No booking, no membership — step out and play.

Padel

Padel

Tennis's faster cousin, played in pairs, deeply social. The Mediterranean's newest obsession — now in your own backyard.

Tennis

Tennis

The classic. A private court, equipment kept ready in season, no waiting list and no sharing with strangers.

Why Villa Amarande

Three things that set the villa apart — and the reasons it will stay with you.

Privacy you can feel

The whole house, two private courts, the pool and the konoba — yours alone. No strangers, no neighbours close by, no waiting for a sun lounger.

Herzegovina, not the coast

Mostar, the wineries of Brotnjo, Kravice and Stari Most — all within thirty minutes. Karst hills, 250 days of sun, and a stillness the Adriatic coast no longer offers.

Generations under one roof

Five bedrooms, two master suites. The konoba for long dinners, the gaming room for the young ones, the garden and pool for the children. Pets welcome. Everyone finds their corner — and gathers on the same terrace at night.

Our story

Herzegovina is our home. We were born here, and so were our sons, among the karst hills and the vineyards — a place no one wants to leave, and everyone returns to.

We didn't build the house as a business; had we, it would stand somewhere by the sea. We built it out of pure love for this place — as a gift to our village in the heart of Herzegovina, and a piece of it we want to share with people from all over the world.

We brought the modern and the traditional together, so the old and the new hold hands. We opened it hoping you'll find here what has always meant the most to us — stillness, friends, wine, and the sun that doesn't fade.
